Poe" (This
biographical article on Poe is unsigned and was attributed to Henry
Beck Hirst by Poe, but Burton R. Pollin has disputed this attribution
and claims that Poe himself is the author. There are clearly elements
which must have derived from Poe, but probably at least nominally
put together by Hirst from material provided by Poe. It may be best to
consider it as a collaborative piece. In any case, the article is
important for the original printing of one and reprints
of sixteen of Poe's poems.)
