Notes:

In the original printing of The Portraits and Daguerreotypes of Edgar Allan Poe, the present image was provided only in black and white. Although the figure at the far right is mentioned in the text as being the one who is supposed to be Poe, the male figure to the left has also been suggested, and it does bear a greater resemblence, particularly if compared to the Sartain engraving of 1850. The fashion plate from the November 1841 issue of Graham's Magazine is also available for reference.
