(Born: July 20, 1818 - Died: March 4, 1887)

American publisher, editor, author and novelist. After several years of work as an editor on the Saturday Evening Post and Graham’s Magazine, he founded Peterson’s Ladies National Magazine. He published under the pseudonyms of Harry Cavendish, Henry R Shipley and Harry Danforth.
