Edgar Simeon Van Winkle

(Born: August 3, 1810 - Died: December 9, 1882)

American lawyer. Edgar Simeon Van Winkle was born in New York City, the son of Peter Van Winkle and Phoebe Godwin. He married Hannah Starr Beach on November 11, 1835. He studied law in the offices of John P. Jackson in Newark, NJ, and William Slosson in New York, NY.
