[page 7, column 2, continued:]

During the present month Mr. William F. GIll, of Boston, will publish a revised and enlarged edition of his “Life of Edgar A. Poe. “ This edition will include many important new facts in the poet's career, and will contain at least one feature that will excite no ordinary interest Mr. Gill's researches have discovered at last the true cause of Griswold's “undying enmity”: to Poe in a scathing critique of “Poets and Poetry of America,” printed by the poet in an obscure periodical in Philadelphia. No one will wonder alter reading this article, which covers twenty pages of flue type, that Griswold found it unanswerable until the death of the lion unfettered his stricken tongue. The critique will be printed in full in Mr. Gill's book.
