Mrs. Elizabeth Oakes Smith

(Born: August 12, 1806 - Died: November 15, 1893)

American author and poet. Elizabeth Oakes Prince was born in North Yarmouth, ME. Her parents were Sophia Blanchard and David Prince. She married Seba Smith in 1823. She had five sons, of whom one died in infancy.
