BOSTON LYCEUM. — The introductory lecture of the season before the Lyceum will be delivered on the evening of the 16th of October by Caleb Cushing, and on the same occasion Edgar A. Poe, editor of the Broadway will pronounce a poem.

If Mr. Poet Poe should read some of his earlier productions, we guess the literati of modern Athens would burst off some of their buttons.
