This monument, originally donated by the Actors of the New York City stage, was transferred from the Metropolitan Museum's storage area to and dedicated on May 11, 1972 at the Poe Center of The Bronx Community College (opposite the Poe Cottage) on the Grand Concourse and Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx. This was accomplished largely through the efforts of Dr. William C. Woolfson. It has since been transferred to the lobby of the Con Edison business office at 310 East Kingsbridge Road, where it may be seen.
